SentiPods

Search and read clean, speaker-labeled podcast transcripts.

SentiPods turns the podcasts you follow into something you can actually search, skim, and quote — clean, speaker-labeled transcripts instead of a scrub bar.

Listening is slow. If you follow a dozen shows, most of what was said is effectively unsearchable: you remember that somebody made a point about interest rates last week, but not who, or which show, or where in ninety minutes it lands. SentiPods reads the whole library for you.

Browse By Show, Then By Episode

Every registered show, newest episode first, with dates and titles pulled from the transcript itself. Tap through to a full transcript, formatted as readable prose with each speaker labeled — not a wall of caption fragments.

Search Across Everything At Once

One search box over the entire corpus. Results come back as ranked snippets with the surrounding sentences, so you can see the context before you open anything. Filter to a single show when you already know where to look, or leave it wide and find out who else was talking about it.

Find The Exact Moment

Ask a question in plain words and SentiPods searches at the level of individual speaking turns, not whole episodes — so a hit lands you on the paragraph where somebody actually said it, with who said it attached.

The Week In Guests And Episodes

A rolling digest shows what came out over the last several days across every show you follow, along with the guest voices that showed up most often. A fast way to catch up on a week you missed without opening a single audio player.

Podcasts Versus The News

SentiPods also reads public news sources — AP, NPR, Reuters, the Federal Reserve, Wikipedia Current Events — and lines them up against the podcast side. The daily brief surfaces the topics where the two diverge: what the shows are chewing on that the wires are ignoring, and the reverse. Open any topic to see the actual mentions from both sides, ranked, so you can judge for yourself.

Read It Like Text, Because It Is Text

Transcripts are real, selectable text: copy a quote, search within an episode, and read at whatever size you like. On the Mac it is a full window with the library on one side and the transcript on the other; on iPhone and iPad the same library travels with you.

Bring Your Own Server

SentiPods is the reading client for grubber, the transcription service that does the collecting and the transcribing. Point the app at your grubber server, paste your client key once, and the whole library is available. The app itself stores nothing but your key, kept in the system Keychain.

Built for people who would rather read a podcast than listen to one.
